recently we had a small problem with the routes page, the page with the saved route was opening very slowly or crashing the browser for the user. This issue has already been fixed, but unfortunately we had to turn off the automatic search for peaks along the route and the ability to climb them directly on the route page. Unfortunately, this mechanism caused problems with the site, we have more and more peaks in the scrypt database in the end and managed to deal with such a number.

Don't worry the feature will be restored as soon as possible, for now just mark the peaks you've climbed on the main map.

We encourage you to climb the newly created Crown of the Mountains of Austria, which includes the 45 highest peaks.

  Due to the very intensive development of a new activity in the mountains in the form of the use of electric bikes, we have introduced a new e-bike activity on our website. 

    If you are riding an electric bike in the mountains or outside the mountains. Save your routes with us and mark them with an e-bike activity.

    Planet of Mountains in connection with a large increase in tourist trips to Georgia, has updated the network of tourist routes in several of the most tourist areas of this country, including Svaneti, Mount Kazbek, Khevsureti oraz Parku Narodowego Tusheti.

   To view the hiking trails in Georgia, just enable the Waymark trail layer in the layer management menu. 

   This layer presents tourist routes around the world and new routes are coming every day across the Earth. Planet of Mountains for its part undertook an update for Georgia, along with the creation of new routes; in this region we will be updating this layer.   

  Although the option of uploading a route from the gpx and kml file has been active for a very long time, we decided to make this option more prominent so that it would be more visible. From now on the user page has appeared a new link with the option to take routes from the file.

  Similar changes have occurred on the plan draw route page. We have distinguished the word Upload gpx kml file, now it is more visible and faster everyone will find it.

With the New Year 2019, we provide an interactive activity map for users. From now on, every user can view their activities on the map broken down by country.

In addition, we have increased the list of the most visited mountains from 5 to 10.

ATTENTION the Karpats Crown has changed! The highest peak of the Carpathians in Bosnia has been updated thanks to the attention of one of the users. Currently, it is Siljak in the Ratnj massif.

He replaced summit Beljanica with height 1339 m.n.p.m.

From 20 September 2018, a new layer of hiking trails from around the world is available on the Mountain Turistic Map.

We encourage you to actively use the map layer 

Starting from September 2018 conquering peaks on the Mountain Turistic Map become child's play.

After adding new route on a page are displaying peaks near to our path.

Click Change Settings and set peaks as conquered, sometimes it can be not all peaks, click save and is done. 

Now we can see basic peaks statistics.

At the end of August 2018, we added a new route to choose from for users, this is a kayaking route. We noticed that some users are adding their kayak routes to the portal, which is why we have come out against them with this option.

On 21/08/2012, we have added a new layer Open Topo to the site. Now you can explore the map in its new dimension for the whole Earth.

From april our servis add new badges. First category is for conquering the higest peak.

And second for gain certain quantity for unigue peaks.

From January 2018, we provide you with a new option, virtual panoramas. From now on every peak on our map has a generated panorama, which shows the view together with described visible peaks.

Panorama is also available for viewing in full-screen and high-resolution options. As an example, we encourage you to see the view that stretches from the top of Krivan in Slovakia.

We encurage you to acquire new added crown of the Silesian-Moravian Beskids comprising 28 higest summits, each counts over 100 m above sea level. Several of the peaks are located outside the marked tourist trai.  

  From today, the trails from the site Planeta Gór have graphic representation in the form of a map and basic statistics at Facebook.

  From a day 1.12.2017, we enable you a new service graphic design. The turistic map is already set for any possible device such as smartphones, tablets and desktops of course.
